Sonae Novobord Launch the Novolam App

Sonae Novobord are proud to introduce the free
Novolam App to the market, offering an interactive display of our range of melamine decors.

“Smartphone penetration in SA is growing at a rapid rate and analysts predict it will see a
significant spike over the next couple of years.
Arthur Goldstuck, MD of World Wide Worx says the current number of South African cellphone users who have smartphones is 21%, more than double what it was a year ago.

Gartner predicts smartphone penetration in SA is likely to reach 80% by 2014.”
The mobile world is booming at an alarming rate. New technologies, faster download, latest
software, smarter smart phones and tablets have consumed our lives like never before and
are proving to be useful in areas never expected. This holds true in Africa and especially in
South Africa.

Our ability to reach and therefore expose Novolam to the consumer through the entire value chain, whilst providing ourselves and our customer base with an additional sales tool was to appealing to ignore.

We at Sonae Novobord saw the benefits of an app dedicated to our Novolam range of melamine décors. Of critical importance was to ensure that we created an app that was simple in design, fun in use, whilst offering the consumer the ability to create interactive imagery.
