BOOK NOW FOR GLOBAL TREND UPDATE AT DECOREX JOBURG 2014

The retirement age is not what it used to be, cronuts are the new cupcake and we’re moving towards a gender-free world.

These are just a few of the lifestyle trends to be picked up on by Dion Chang of Flux Trends at the Caesarstone Design and Trend Forecast at Decorex Joburg in August this year. Dion, one of South Africa’s leading trend analysts, is first on the lineup that includes a global décor trend report as well as a report back from EuroCucina.

Decorex Joburg takes place from 6th to 10th August kicking off with the Design and Trend Forecast as well as the first ever 100% Design South Africa taking place alongside the exhibition, this promises to be the most exciting Decorex Joburg ever. Surface designer Caesarstone, a global leader in lifestyle design, will be bringing the trend forecast to Decorex Joburg. Bookings have opened for the event that will take place on the 7th August.

“We are delighted that Caesarstone has chosen to present the Design and Trend Forecast at Decorex Joburg,” said Sian Steyn, General Manager of the Decorex SA Portfolio. “Our vision is to continue to grow Decorex Joburg into an unmissable event on the décor diary – with all the products, ideas, know-how and now trend updates possible, under one roof. An event of this calibre certainly makes a trip to Decorex Joburg even more important.”

Dion Chang presented his talk recently at Decorex Cape Town, where he touched upon various lifestyle subjects, predicting radical changes in media and communication in coming years.
Visual and video mediums continue to be the most important form of communication, although he also forecasts a renewed popularity of print magazines and books when individuals tire of working and socialising on screens and feel the need to “unplug”.

Caesarstone will be dishing up a taste of the very latest kitchen design trends as seen at Eurocucina earlier this year. Communications Manager Lisa Aspeling was there and will report back on how open plan kitchens have resulted in more linear designs and that surfaces are more matte and textured than the high gloss of previous years. Lisa’s Eurocucina report will also include a stunning video content for some exciting inspiration.
