Decorex CT a HUGE success

Decorex CT took place from 27 April till 1 May at the CTICC, and we can only say what a fantastic show. There was great attendance from consumers and the industry alike. Exhibitors had pushed themselves and the stand were superb. Our own KSA members did not disappoint. Caesarstone took home a certificate of excellence, Franke won the award for best marketing and Rudi’s choice won best stand at show.

Our own Stephanie Forbes was lucky enough to be asked to step into Clinton Soutter’s shoes and announce the winner of this year’s CT Franke Kitchen Design project award. This gave her an opportunity to thank Franke for their investment into the kitchen industry through the show and this project. The award was won by KSA member Gardner Interiors.

Our new stand was really embraced by consumers who found the interactive nature of finding the snags both fun and informative. Our budget boxes also gave rise to many an educational discussions with consumers leaving feeling they had truly learned something. Our thanks have to go to all the members who sponsored materials, samples, time, manufacturing and transport to assist us : Sonae Arauco, Max on Top, PG Bison, Davidsons Boards, Gelmar, Eclipse, Grass, Sangengalo, Infin8 surfacing, Smeg, AEG, Franke, Spotlight, Niemann and National Edging.

We were pleased to see the kitchen from our stand being loaded onto a truck this afternoon at breakdown and being taken to Uturn to be used for additional storage and service area at their Claremont soup kitchen. We hope our stand will help in the process of putting some food in hungry tummies this winter.
